Title

Discuss and consider action to select AP Triton for the Fire and EMS Assessment and Service Options and authorize the City Manager to negotiate a scope and fee for the study and execute documents.

Summary

Related to the proposed establishment of Travis County ESD No. 17, the City issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Fire and EMS Assessment and Service Options on December 18, 2020 and received eight (8) statements of qualification (SOQ).

The top three firms were further vetted and interviewed by the selection committee on January 21.

The selection committee also conducted follow-up discussions on January 22, and recommends the selection of AP Triton as the best qualified firm and internal team to perform the scope of work.

The proposed schedule in the RFQ anticipates the project to be initiated in February, and completed within about 90 days.
