Summary
The Professional Services Agreement being considered provides for the final design services for East Pflugerville Parkway (from Colorado Sand Drive to Weiss Lane) approved as part of the 2020 Transportation Bond election. This project as approved in the 2020 Bond election only includes engineering and design.
This project will serve as a continuation of the schematic design of East Pflugerville Parkway from Colorado Sand Drive to the City Limits, which was recently completed by LJA Engineering. LJA Engineering is also currently under contract to perform the final design of East Pflugerville Parkway from Weiss Lane to the City Limits (just east of this project).
This agenda item is for approval of an agreement in the amount $799,886.36 for design of a four-lane divided roadway with 60%, 90% and 100% plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) and technical memos. The final PS&E plans will include a new storm drain system, pedestrian facilities (sidewalk and a shared-use path), roadside signs, pavement markings, continuous illumination, right-of-way exhibits, and utility coordination.
The NTP and kickoff meeting are anticipated before the end of April. LJA is estimating the submittal of the 60% plans at the end of July, 2021. 90% plans are anticipated in November 2021, and the final plans, specs and estimate complete at the end of February, 2022.
