Approving an ordinance on second reading with the caption reading: An Ordinance of the City of Pflugerville, Texas, Amending the City of Pflugerville, Texas Code Of Ordinances Title VII Traffic Code, Chapter 71 Parking Regulations, Section 71.05 Parking Prohibited in certain designated areas by removing Temporary No Parking Zones required by Construction Where Said Construction Has Been Completed; Providing for a penalty for a violation of Chapter 71 as a Class C Misdemeanor and a fine in an amount not to exceed $200.00; Providing that this Ordinance shall be cumulative; Repealing all Ordinances to the extent they are in conflict; Providing for severability; and Providing an effective date.
Summary
The City is amending Chapter 71 of our Code of Ordinances relating to parking on city streets by removing the Temporary No Parking zones established in the following areas for roadway construction activities. At this time, all referenced projects have been completed and the Temporary No Parking zone should be revoked.
1. Portions of the Heatherwilde and Windermere Subdivision streets
2. Black Locust Drive from it's intersection with Grand Avenue Parkway to it's intersection with Heathwerilde Boulevard
3. Portions of the Heatherwilde Subdivision streets
A map depicting the temporary designated no parking zone streets is attached to this item.
Prior City Council Action
City Council approved Ordinance Number 1469-20-11-24 to implement Temporary No Parking Zones within the construction limits of the Heatherwilde Neighborhood street rehabilitation project at the November 24, 2020 meeting.
This ordinance under consideration was approved on first reading on April 27, 2021.
