Approving an amendment to the professional services agreement with Freese and Nichols, Inc. in the amount of $100,000 for professional services associated with the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan and authorizing the City Manager to execute same.
Summary
The City of Pflugerville solicited requests for qualifications for the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan in January and February of 2020. On April 14, 2020, City Council approved the selection of Freese and Nichols for professional services associated with the preparation of a Comprehensive Plan and authorized the City Manager to enter into negotiations regarding a scope of work and a fee proposal. The Comprehensive Plan shall serve as the City's guiding policy document for the development and will reflect the community's collective goals and vision for the future.
As we continue through the process of developing the 2040 and begin to articulate the vision and guiding principles of the plan through goals and policies, additional services have been identified to ensure the plan addresses the needs of the community. This amendment includes specific additional tasks and provides for future additional tasks as requested by the City not to exceed the total budgeted amount for all tasks of $100,000 as budgeted in FY21.
The proposed amended scope of work includes the following elements:

Preparation of additional fiscal impact evaluation of future growth//development patterns
Additional meeting attendance and facilitation
Conceptual renderings
Additional tasks as requested by the City through the balance of the project
