Title
Approving a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute second renewal of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Public Health Services between the City of Austin and the City of Pflugerville.

Summary
This agenda item is to authorize the renewal of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Public Health Services between the City of Austin and the City of Pflugerville. This is the second renewal of the initial term that began in January 2020 for the balance of FY20, ending September 30, 2020. The first renewal was approved on August 25, 2020, with the agreement expiring September 30, 2021. The second renewal will extend the agreement to end on September 30, 2022.

Enhanced services via this agreement include utilization of Austin's 311 system as a conduit for Pflugerville residents and customers to register concerns associated with food safety and food establishment issues as well as issues related to public pools and spas. Restaurant inspection scores are also maintained on the city of Austin website:

Through this partnership we have also established improved communications with Pflugerville and Austin Public Health, beyond the terms of the agreement, with regard to coronavirus issues, and vector controls to mitigate for West Nile Disease.

Staff recommends renewal of the agreement.
