Summary
The City Council is expected to retire to executive session on the item for discussion of personnel matters pursuant to Chapter 551.074 of the Texas Government Code. No action will be taken in executive session.
Section 4.06 of the City Charter specifies that the City Manager shall appoint the head of each administrative department, subject to the approval of the City Council. With approval by the City Council, Jason O'Malley will take the office of Police Chief on August 25, 2021. A date for the swearing in ceremony is to be determined.
