Summary
The City of Pflugerville has never enacted a franchise regarding emergency medical services (EMS) providers. As such, there are currently no limitations as to entities permitted to have use of public streets within the City of Pflugerville to provide emergency medical transport services.
Approval of this ordinance establishes a franchise requirement for providing emergency services within the City Limits of Pflugerville.
A Request for Proposals (RFP) for emergency medical services was solicited from two public and three private providers. Responses are due on September 24.
