Discuss the Emergency Medical Services System Valuation Study as prepared by AP Trition.
Summary
The City of Pflugerville retained AP Triton to perform an assessment of EMS services in Pflugerville on January 26, 2021. AP Triton was recommended following the issuance of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process.
The assessment was presented to the City Council on June 21, 2021, and is available via the City's website, www.pflugervilletx.gov/ems.
Among the recommendations included in the assessment was to conduct this Valuation Study. A valuation study establishes the value of the EMS service areas with consideration to myriad of factors, including: socio-economic data and trends, such age, demographics, etc. as well as payer mix.
As noted in the prior city Council action section below, the preparation of the report was authorized by the City Council on July 13, 2021. AP Triton delivered a technical draft on September 27 for staff review.
In this item, Mr. Rich Buchanan provide a brief presentation of the report as well as key findings and recommendations to evaluate going forward.
