This item is supported by the infrastructure pillar of the strategic plan in maintaining infrastructure to ensure resiliency and operability at all times.
This item is to replace the air conditioning units located at the Police Department that are both over 20 years old. The funding for this item is currently budgeted and is a part of FY22 Facilities Maintenance Capital Outlay. With a projected useful life of 15 years, at approximately 22 years of service these units have reached their end of life and need to be replaced. The current budgeted amount in Facility Capital Projects will fund this item as well as the proposed Parks and Recreation building air conditioning replacement.
In order to ensure that vital areas as well as common areas maintain temperature, temporary climate control has been installed until permanent units are received and put in place.
