Summary
This item is to request approval of the selection of Walker Partners, LLC for professional services associated with the 20-inch SH 130 Waterline Project. This item is supported by the Infrastructure pillar of the Strategic Plan.
The City of Pflugerville solicited requests for qualifications (RFQ) from qualified engineering firms to provide professional engineering services for design of the proposed 20-inch SH 130 Waterline project to improve reliability of existing infrastructure and meet future sewer needs. The City received 12 twelve Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from interested firms in February 2022. A Selection Committee made up of City Staff reviewed and scored the SOQs. Based on the scoring, the selection committee determined that Walker Partners is the most qualified for the professional services.
Walker Partners LLC will perform engineering design services including alignment evaluations, selection; archeological & environmental investigation; subsurface utility investigation; topographic/tree survey; develop easement descriptions and provide contract documents i.e. plans, specifications and opinion of construction costs. Supplemental Services if authorized may include development of funding agency reports.
The Project will provide increased water capacity, provide improved fire flow protection, promote development along the SH 130 corridor and provide a robust infrastructure to benefit the residents of the City of Pflugerville.
