Approving the selection of Binkley and Barfield, Inc. to provide professional services associated with the Rowe Lane Corridor Study project, and authorizing the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement in the amount of $338,104.
Summary
This project is presented as supported by the Infrastructure pillar of the Strategic Plan and identified in the 2019 Transportation Master Plan. The proposed request is for approval for selection of Binkley and Barfield and approval for a professional services agreement with the City. This project supports the 2021-2025 Strategic Plan with improved traffic safety, improved economic development and ensures resilient infrastructure.
The City of Pflugerville solicited requests for qualifications (RFQ) from qualified engineering firms to provide professional engineering services for design of the proposed Rowe Lane Corridor Study project to improve reliability of existing transportation infrastructure and meet future needs.
The City received 3 three Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from interested firms in February 2022. A Selection Committee made up of City Staff reviewed and scored the SOQs based on the Request for Qualification's (RFQ) scoring criteria. Based on the evaluation and scoring criteria in the RFQ. The Selection Committee determined the results of the SOQ scoring required interviews to further evaluate the team's experience.
The City Staff requests approval for engineering services from Binkley and Barfield, Inc. associated with the Rowe Lane Corridor Study. Binkley and Barfield, Inc. will perform preliminary study services including evaluation of alternatives, selection and developing a feasibility report for utilization in future design development.
