Title
Approving the selection of RS&H, Inc. to provide professional services associated with the SH 130 Corridor Study, and authorizing the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement in the amount of $502,231.

Summary
This project is presented as supported by the Infrastructure pillar of the Strategic Plan and also identified in the 2019 Transportation Master Plan. The proposed request is for approval for selection of RS&H Inc. and approval for a professional services agreement with the City. This project supports the 2021-2025 Strategic Plan with improved traffic safety, improved economic development and ensures resilient infrastructure.

The City of Pflugerville solicited requests for qualifications (RFQ) from qualified engineering firms to provide professional engineering services for design of the proposed SH 130 Corridor Study project to improve reliability of existing transportation infrastructure and meet future needs.

The City received two Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from interested firms in February 2022. A Selection Committee made up of City Staff reviewed, scored and determined the results of the SOQs based on the Request for Qualification's (RFQ) scoring criteria.

The City Staff requests approval for engineering services from RS&H, Inc. associated with the SH 130 Corridor Study. RS&H, Inc. will perform preliminary study services including evaluation of alternatives, selection and developing a feasibility report for utilization in future design development.

The City finds that the Project will provide details for development of future transportation infrastructure, to facilitate more efficient and safer routes for cyclists, pedestrians and vehicles to provide a robust infrastructure and benefit the residents of the City of Pflugerville.
