Title
Discuss and consider action to approve a resolution of the City Council of the City of Pflugerville, Texas, directing the City Manager to execute all documents related to requesting annexation from Travis County regarding an approximate 0.447-acre portion of right-of-way within the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction, situated in the P. Summary
The adjacent parcels in this area are part of the Longhorn Addition subdivision, which has an approved preliminary plan (PP2109-01). This area is also slated for the extension of Kenney Fort, a proposed minor arterial, south from SH 45 to New Meister Lane. In May, City Council approved an ordinance vacating the existing Meister Lane right-of-way (as shown in red in the location exhibit), but the remaining portion of Meister Lane (as show in the hatched area) remains under control of Travis County as it relates to the extension of Kenney Fort. Staff has met with Travis County multiple times to coordinate and discuss this right-of-way extension and they proposed that the city annex. While the entire extension of Kenney Fort is not able to be constructed today, this annexation would allow the City of Pflugerville to facilitate the phasing of Kenney Fort from the bend at Meister Lane to New Meister.

Prior City Council Action
On May 10, 2022, City Council approved on second reading an ordinance that vacated approximately 2.3 acres of Meister Lane right of way from the bend at Meister Lane to New Meister Lane for the future extension of Kenny Fort Blvd.

Deadline for City Council Action
Action is requested August 23, 2022.
