Summary
A parcel of land at the northwest corner of Immanuel Road and Wells Branch Parkway is proposed for development as a mixed-use project. The project is under separate review by the City’s Planning and Development Services Department. As part of the development, an existing open drainage channel that crosses the site will be realigned and piped underground. The drainage easement over the previous alignment can be abandoned in favor of a new drainage easement that has already been dedicated by the developer along the new alignment. Abandonment of existing easements requires Council approval.
Council approval of this Resolution will authorize the City Manager to execute the document to vacate, abandon and release the drainage easement along the previous alignment that is no longer needed. If Council approves this abandonment; the vacation, abandonment, and release agreement will be executed by the City and recorded in Travis County Real Property Records.
